A Letter From Rwanda

Dear Pastor Gregg,
Greetings from here in Rwanda in Jesus wonderful name.
Thank you very much for your message of 26th Feb 2007, and I am sorry for delaying to reply.
I also want to thank you for the spirit of desiring to stand with us in the ministry of building the kingdom of God here in Rwanda and Burundi.
I also appreciate the idea of sending some pictures about the ministry here and please find with message pictures done on power point program.
I have tried to show different areas of the ministry and different needs, you can pray with us and share with others about the needs of the church here.
I appreciate your love and please be assured of our constant prayer to you and your ministry to the Lord and His church.

Chandler had his Birthday on the 6th and Susan will have her's on the 8th. Happy Birthday you two!!

John 5:6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?

Jesus asked this man "Do you want to be made well?" Of course he did! Wouldn't you? Why did Jesus ask a question like this when its answer was so clearly obvious? It seems the Lord wanted to hear him verbalize his need.

In the biography of George Mueller, a strong man of God who established orphanages throughout England in the 1800's and raised the kids up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, this amazing Saint relied upon God for every single need that he faced without making any financial appeals. He laid before the Lord every aspect of these orphanages. He prayed for the locations, the buildings, the furniture to fill them, the workers to run them, and everything else he could think of. When the first orphanage was ready, Mueller realized one major thing was lacking -- orphans!! He forgot to ask the Lord to provide the orphans!

Sometimes the obvious things just smack us in the face, don't they? On several occassions, I've found myself in this very position! Silly me -- I forgot to ask!

The Lord is asking us today, "Do you want to be made well?" Whether it be physical healing, spiritual, emotional or financial healing, no thing is too great or too small for our Lord! Perhaps we've just forgotten to ask Him!

Prayer Request

Pastor Wilson (pastor at Mountain View) is back at SVI. From what I understand his hip is basically crumbling. The Doctors are not left with many options. Please remember them in prayer at this very critical time.

I have also heard that Brother Dilldine is not doing well with the cancer he has. Continue to remember both of these men in your prayers.

A big Monday!

Brooklyn had her first Birthday Party tonight. Marie and Nate did a great job at hosting the event. We got to see their beautiful new home. Thank you for a great time, and Happy Birthday!

The youth event was a success this past weekend. I am having trouble with the pictures, as soon as I correct this I will pass them along.

Baseball officially started today at Vestal Park. It was a grand affair with a military color guard, fire engines, an ambulance and even med-flight landed. The Mayor and Craig O'Neil threw out the first pitch. Tom is sending me a few pictures to post.

It has been a little busy so I am a little behind on the Blog. I ran across an old sermon by what must have been a great minister. The words are as follows, but to get a real sense of his message listen to the copy on u-tube.

The Bible says my King is a seven-way king....He's the King of the Jews; that's a racial king....He's the King of Israel; that's a national King....He's the King of Righteousness....He's the King of the Ages.....He's the King of Heaven....He's the King of Glory....He's the King of kings, and He's the Lord of lords. That's my King. Well....I wonder, do you know Him?.... David said, "The Heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament shows His handiwork. My King is a sovereign King. No means of measure can define His limitless love. No far seeing telescope can bring into visibility the coastline of His shoreless supply. No barrier can hinder Him from pouring out His blessings. He's enduringly strong....He's entirely sincere....He's eternally steadfast....He's immortally graceful....He's imperially powerful....He's impartially merciful....... Do you know Him?

He's the greatest phenomenon that ever crossed the horizon of this world. He's God's Son....He's a sinner's Savior....He's the centerpiece of civilization....He stands in the solitude of Himself....He's august....He's unique....He's unparalleled....He's unprecedented....He's the loftiest idea in literature....He's the highest personality in philosophy....He's the supreme problem in higher criticism....He's the fundamental doctrine of true theology....He's the cardinal necessity for spiritual religion....He's the miracle of the age.... He's the superlative of everything good that you choose to call Him....He's the only one qualified to be an all sufficient Saviour...... I wonder if you know Him today?

He supplies strength for the weak....He's available for the tempted and the tried....He sympathizes and He saves....He strengthens and sustains....He guards and He guides....He heals the sick....He cleanses lepers....He forgives sinners....He discharges debtors....He delivers captives....He defends the feeble....He blesses the young....He serves the unfortunate....He regards the aged....He rewards the diligent....and He beautifies the meek....... I wonder if you know Him?

Well, my King....is the King....He's the key to knowledge....He's the wellspring to wisdom....He's the doorway of deliverance....He's the pathway of peace....He's the roadway of righteousness ....He's the highway of holiness....He's the gateway of glory....... Do you know Him?

Well....His office is manifold....His promise is sure....His light is matchless....His goodness is limitless....His mercy is everlasting....His love never changes....His word is enough....His grace is sufficient....His reign is righteous....and His yoke is easy, and his burden is light. I wish I could describe Him to you, but He's indescribable....He's incomprehensible....He's invincible....He's irresistible.

Well, you can't get Him out of your mind....You can't get Him off of your hand....You can't out live Him, and you can't live without Him....The Pharisees couldn't stand Him, but they found out they couldn't stop Him....Pilate couldn't find any fault in Him....The witnesses couldn't get their testimonies to agree....Herod couldn't kill Him....Death couldn't handle Him, and the grave couldn't hold Him. Yea!!!, that's my King, that's my King.

Father..."Thine is the Kingdom....and the Power....and the Glory....Forever"....and ever, and ever, and ever, and ever. How long is that? And ever...and ever...and when you get through with all the forevers, then.... AMEN!....AMEN!

A retired military mechanic is removing a cylinder head from the motor of a Harley motorcycle when he spots a well-known heart surgeon in his shop. The mechanic shouts across the garage, "Hey, Doc, can I ask you a question?"

Surprised, the surgeon walks over. The mechanic straightens up, wipes his hands on a rag and asks, "So Doc, look at this engine. I open its heart, take valves out, fix them, put them back in and when I finish, it works just like new. So, how come I get such a small salary and you get the really big bucks, when you and I are doing basically the same work?"

The surgeon pauses, smiles, leans over and whispers to the mechanic, "Try doing it with the engine running."
